I learned a Good Lesson in growing carrots. Make sure your soil is loosened up at least 8 to 12 inches deep so they can grow down smoothly. I tilled a good 6-ins down but that still wasn't enough. Most of my carrots turned, twisted, or refused to grow more than 3 to 4 inches. But I have to say, they are still better tasting than any store bought. My squash plants had ashy leaves from mold, I sprayed them with a baking soda solution suggested by a friend. It took care of the problem, but it killed all the leaves that I sprayed. The squash plants are still going, but Not sure if they're going to make it. I harvested my Milk Thistle and needed more and by the hand of God a Musk Thistle just popped up in my backyard. God is so good. Also, my Scottish and Jamaican habaneros where abundant all through the growing season. Come to find out they helped my husband when his blood pressure is high. So we have added them to everything, chicken salad, omelettes, homemade salsa, etc.
Never forget gardening is trial and error, but fear not, God will provide when you need. Praise the Most High!
